The CXOWARE Blog

Welcome to the CXOWARE blog. We hope you’ll join us for lively and good natured discussion about risk and risk issues!  We’re risk geeks, plain and simple. We’re big advocates of the Factor Analysis of Information Risk (FAIR) framework for quantifying risk.

Heartbleed, we're not bleeding and hopefully you're not either

Find me on:

As you've probably heard there is a flaw in OpenSSL called the Heartbleed bug that is effecting millions of secure websites. You can read all about the vulnerability and the effects on Bruce Schneier's blog and you can even test a web site using this tool.

We take security seriously and part of security is being open. Once the news hit that there was a critical vulnerability concerning SSL we immediately took action to evaluate if we were vulnerable. We are happy to say we are not vulnerable, and even though we expected the result we still fully investigated the issue to be sure.
