Position Description: Interested in joining a world-class, startup marketing team? Are you EXTREMELY detail oriented and organized? We are looking for an energetic, highly organized, A-player who loves a fast paced, high performance environment and thrives on metrics and results. In this role, you will meticulously plan, execute & measure dozens of field events for prospective RiskLens customers. You will also have the chance to travel and interact with prospective customers at the events you plan and engage in meaningful conversations as you educate the market.

Within 30 Days:

  • Familiarize yourself with the various RiskLens processes, files, platforms, and tools
  • Work with Sr. Manager of Digital Marketing & Demand Generation to assume responsibility for all existing and upcoming RiskLens events (internal and external), master calendar, and speaking engagements
  • Meet with each team member on the Marketing team to understand their role and how your position interacts/supports
  • Meet with Sales Operations Lead to gain an understanding of the sales team structure and insight into our CRM, workflows, etc.
  • Meet with representatives from Accounting, Professional Services, and Customer Success to understand what they do and how you can support

Within 90 Days:

  • Know our product and value propositions inside and out. Complete online FAIR training, understand the status quo in cyber risk management and its failures.
  • Complete HubSpot introduction training and be able to demonstrate ability to process leads within, measure event impact, and develop post-event reports and insights including data cleansing, creating reports and campaigns, closed/won opportunity data capture, and campaign metric tracking.
  • Create and assess, in collaboration with the Sr. Manager of Digital Marketing & Demand Generation, a robust pre and post event marketing strategy for each confirmed event, sponsorship, and speaking engagement
  • Assume management of events budget(s); effectively evaluate results against goals and generate learnings for improvement.
  • Assume position/responsibilities on the events committee

Within 6 Months:

  • Be able to research and conduct preliminary assessments on new opportunities and speaking engagements, and present findings/recommendations to the VP of Marketing
  • Demonstrate ability to review/reconcile event invoices and conduct regular check ins with Accounting
  • With guidance from the Sr. Manager of Digital Marketing & Demand Generation, conduct preliminary contract reviews and negotiations
  • Become the main point of contact, internally and externally, for all field marketing and events related activities

Required Skills & Experience:

If you can accomplish the above, you’re the Field Marketing & Events Coordinator we are looking for. Additional requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher. Degree in business, hospitality, communications, or marketing preferred.
  • 5-7 years of progressive experience in event/field marketing and project management
  • 2+ years of marketing for B2B high-tech products/solutions a plus
  • Experience using a marketing automation platform (Marketo, HubSpot, etc.)
  • Experience coordinating a wide range of event types and sizes
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
  • 30-40% travel required for trade shows and other live events
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and budget-management skills, with the ability to work cross-departmentally and with all levels of an organization
  • Extraordinary attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive and prioritize in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple concurrent project demands, within designated timeframes
  • Passion for results, measurement and optimization to continuously drive ROI
  • Responsible for end-to-end field event program planning, project management, and logistics from initial planning, to pre and post-event program follow up to include shipping, transportation, vendor management, event budget, sales enablement, social media strategy, data cleansing/tracking, measurement, and maintenance of all assets.
