As the Academy continues to grow, we’re seeking a dynamic leader with the ability to design and deliver on multiple projects, communicate effectively with learners and colleagues of all kinds, and manage the operations day-to-day of a growing training division. We are looking for a candidate who has managed or been a part of a growing successful training program within the enterprise.

In this exciting role, you will report to the Vice President for Professional Services and help integrate training and education into all stages of the customer experience. The Academy’s courses focus on fundamental cyber risk modeling and forecasting using the FAIR Model and Monte Carlo simulation, building quantitative risk management programs, and using RiskLens’ SaaS application to manage risk across an enterprise. Included in the management of the training operations, you’ll lead the ongoing development of training materials, and also roll up your sleeves to deliver training along with our dedicated trainers. You’ll play a key role in enabling the largest organizations on the planet to understand and manage their cybersecurity and operational risk in an entirely new way.

Performance Profile

Within 30 Days:

  • Gain an understanding of the RiskLens training offerings, product, and professional services
  • Complete the Online FAIR Fundamentals training course
  • Gain your OpenFAIR certification

Within 90 Days:

  • Draft and share a SWOT analysis over the current education program
  • Devise and begin executing action plans on an education roadmap for future curriculum
  • Define a learner feedback / improvement strategy
  • Complete the FAIR analyst learning path
  • Develop a great teamwork environment with current trainers and other Customer Experience (CE) professionals
  • Work with trainers to revise (as needed) delivery offerings to align with market demand

In 6 Months:

  • Optimize operations (People & Process) within education group
  • Be fluent in go-to-market, financials, and margins related to training offerings
  • Regularly communicate progress in education and curriculum roadmap to CE and executive leadership
  • Establish and work towards performance goals established in the area of education

Desired Skills / Experience

The Senior Manager, Training & Education is expected to have 3+ years’ experience delivering professional training and/or managing the creation and operations of a growing enterprise training function, with preference toward the latter. Candidates should be prepared to:

  • Describe their philosophy as an educator – what informs your teaching style? What makes you an effective instructor?
  • Describe a scalable and iterative process for the creation and approval of new training content.
  • Discuss experience delivering professional training – content, context, measurable outcomes?
  • Describe their experience as a manager/team leader of a training program – what are keys to success?
  • Discuss best practices for live and online training environments, demonstrate knowledge of multiple instructional strategies and an understanding of when each is appropriate
  • Demonstrate business acumen sufficient to continue growth of training program: collaboration with marketing and sales, skills in pricing and negotiation, etc.
  • Be able to create, own and deliver against a Curriculum Development roadmap across required course delivery types – instructor led, virtual, web – based tutorial etc.
  • Be hands on – able to do delivery when/if needed as well as actively participate in content creation
  • Be experienced in developing a branded certification track(s)

Required Experience

  • Enterprise software (SAAS strongly preferred)
  • Information Security Experience
  • Have been at least a team lead in an Education organization in prior roles
  • Prior early stage software experience a plus
