Position Description

Within 90 days, assume daily responsibilities and independently contribute to team efficiency.

  • Ensure all banking transactions are approved and accurately processed and recorded
  • Gain understanding of and assume month-end processes related to cash, accounts receivable, revenue and internal reporting
  • Learn RiskLens tax landscape and ensure required returns are filed timely and accurately
  • Demonstrate understanding of internal controls and identify those critical to supporting company growth
  • Support team with interim annual audit
  • Learn the Company’s business model and become familiar with the industry

Within 6 months, become proficient in accounting processes, evaluate potential areas for improvement and implement accordingly.

  • Partner with FP&A function to prepare accurate short-term cash output forecasts
  • Assume responsibility for timely completion of month-end financial close
  • Lead analysis of month-end procedures and identify potential areas for improved efficiency
  • Develop and implement scalable process for tax compliance aligned with company growth
  • Ensure compliance with internal control requirements while focusing on continuous improvement
  • Assume point of contact responsibilities for external auditors
  • Improve job knowledge by developing training plan and participating in educational opportunities
  • Assist Senior Accountant/Financial Analyst and Chief Financial Officer with review, evaluation and implementation of improved department technology
  • Establish yourself as a resource and work cross-functionally with the Company’s Legal, Customer Success, Engineering, Marketing and Sales teams

 

Required Skills and Experience

If you can accomplish the above, you’re the Senior Accountant we are looking for. Additional requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 3-5 years’ accounting related experience, preferably in public accounting
  • CPA certified
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Passion to work collaboratively in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
