RiskLens is looking for a Senior Technical Writer to become a key member of the User Experience team. In this exciting role, you will report to the Manager of User Experience & User Assistance. You will drive definition and implementation of a user assistance and content management strategy for a brand-new SaaS platform, enabling the largest organizations on the planet to understand and manage their cybersecurity risk in an entirely new way.

Position Description:

We are looking for an experienced senior writer who is highly collaborative. You will have the opportunity to play a key role defining multi-channel content generation, tools direction, and content delivery strategy for a technology start-up. Improve enterprise customers lives by applying your experience across content initiatives. We are looking for someone who can develop cross-media training content both in app and off app. You know the best tools for the job and look to improve efficiency at scale in collaboration with stakeholders and subject matter experts. You understand style definition and content models that help users better understand cross domain concepts.

Within 30 days:

  • Familiarize yourself with RiskLens product, users, and scenarios
  • Meet with product owners and assess current content
  • Meet with the Professional Services team to assess content training opportunities
  • Produce a content glossary and acronym guide

Within 90 Days:

  • Create a content style guide that addresses all technical publications and user assistance deliverables.
  • Define a customer satisfaction improvement strategy that sets the course for content direction, production, and publication across a variety of potential channels such as video, in & off-app help systems, tutorials, and knowledge base formation
  • Drive best-in-class content adoption by defining tool sets for efficient assessment, generation, and delivery pipelines for internal and external priority needs. Collaborate with stakeholders and SME’s to scale content generation
  • Define a business language model for the FAIR ontology, improving collaboration between Risk Analysts and Business Decision Makers

In 6 Months:

  • Drive content consistency through style-guide-alignment for all content
  • Deliver in app customer training that allows users to easily finish their tasks
  • Show customer and user satisfaction improvement through a metrics-driven approach including generation and assessment of all content
  • Achieve a continuous content improvement program that defines the course of action using modern content tools
  • Ensure your content management system measures content effectiveness, promoting the best content while addressing underperforming content across multiple delivery channels

 

Desired Skills and Experience:

Along with the position description, ideal candidates will have experience documenting enterprise software products that communicate content on enterprise SaaS, risk management, and cybersecurity. Candidates will know how to collaborate across teams to create and amplify effective content that drives high customer satisfaction.

You will probably have a bachelor’s degree, and at least 5 years’ experience with a track record of impact and innovation in the world of enterprise software user assistance and technical publications. If you have more experience, you’ll be able to accelerate your effectiveness and impact at RiskLens.
