RiskLens is looking for a UX Designer to become a key member of the User Experience team. In this exciting role, you will report to the Manager of User Experience & User Assistance. You will consume user research and information architecture to drive rapid prototyping, interaction, and visual design into the user experience for a brand-new SaaS platform, enabling the largest organizations on the planet to understand and manage their cybersecurity risk in an entirely new way.

Position Description:

We are looking for a UX designer who is highly collaborative. You will have the opportunity to play a key role in defining user experiences across personas through rapid design and evaluation. We are looking for someone to drive efficiencies through a scalable UX component library for both interaction and visual standards on a SaaS platform for a dynamic technology startup. You define responsive experiences from concepting to hi fidelity. You like to design independently and love getting great design from others. You continuously refine existing components, collaborate on efficient development handoffs and have a perspective on best tools for all design phases.

Within 30 days:

  • Familiarize yourself with RiskLens product and create design backlog
  • Familiarize yourself with RiskLens personas, pains, and scenarios
  • Work with development on best tools, methods, and handoff improvements
  • Propose improvements for design pattern consistency and standards
  • Start design standardization/style guide work
  • Start on UX and visual design backlog
  • Complete a full day training session on RiskLens platform

Within 90 Days:

  • Complete prescribed online RiskLens and FAIR training
  • Complete UX style guide
  • Update all UI components to style guide standards
  • Assure design library is up to date for current components including interaction patterns and visual presentation
  • Document design library training for development for all teams
  • Assure that design pipeline and library are set up to easily implement design updates
  • Implement process for rapid prototyping for usability lab sessions

In 6 Months:

  • Integrate UX patterns and visual design into UX library with user and customer feedback per component
  • Manage UX assets and visuals, assuring development handoffs are highly efficient and in sync with sprint schedules
  • Integrate rapid prototyping process into development lifecycle with baseline deliverables that included markup and asset delivery
  • Have made a case for React Code behind for UX components in UX library with POC samples, and a code handoff pipeline is explored as a best practice

Desired Skills and Experience:

Candidates know how to collaborate across teams to create effective design that drives user satisfaction gains.

You have a bachelor’s degree and at least two years of experience in design production. If you have more experience, you’ll be able to accelerate your effectiveness and impact at RiskLens.
